Is Service Scout free to use?
Yes, completely free for customers. Download the app, post a request, and get matched with pros at no cost.
How does the matching work?
When you submit a request, we match up to 3 qualified local pros based on your location, the type of service you need, and their availability. You'll receive in-app messages from pros who want to help.
Is my personal information shared with pros?
Your street address is never shared. Pros only see your city, state, and general area for matching. Your phone number is only shared if you initiate a conversation with a pro inside the app.
What if I'm not happy with a pro?
After the job, leave an honest review in the app. If you have a serious concern, contact us at support@servicescout.app.
Can I browse without creating an account?
Yes. You can browse service categories and see how the platform works as a guest. You'll need to create a free account to post a request or message a pro.
For Service Pros
How much does it cost?
$15 per lead delivered to you. No monthly fees, no subscriptions. You're only charged when we send you a lead.
Can I set a spending limit?
Yes. In your settings, set a weekly budget (e.g. $75/week). Lead delivery automatically pauses when you hit your limit and resets every Monday.
Can I pause lead delivery?
Yes, anytime. Toggle "Pause Lead Delivery" in your settings. Flip it back on when you're ready for more work.
What if I receive a bad lead?
Contact us at support@servicescout.app with the lead details. We review refund requests for invalid or spam leads.
Do I need a license to join?
Not necessarily. Many trades (cleaning, moving, landscaping, handyman) don't require a license. If you have a license number, you can optionally add it to your profile to build customer trust.
How long does approval take?
Most profiles are reviewed within 24 hours. You'll get a push notification as soon as you're approved and ready to receive leads.

How do I delete my account?
Email support@servicescout.app with your account email or phone number and we'll delete your account within 5 business days.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen, enter your email, and we'll send you a reset link.
How do I update my payment method?
Go to Settings โ Billing โ Payment Methods in the app.
Refunds & Lead Credits
When am I eligible for a refund?
We issue refunds or account credits for leads that meet one of the following criteria:

Invalid contact information โ the customer's phone/email was fake or unreachable
โ
Outside your service area โ due to a platform error (not your settings)
โ
Duplicate lead โ you were charged twice for the same customer
โ
Customer never submitted a real request โ spam or test submission
โ
Technical error โ platform malfunction caused an incorrect charge
What is NOT eligible for a refund?
The following are not eligible for refunds, consistent with standard lead marketplace practices:
โ Customer didn't respond to your message
โ Customer hired a different pro
โ You didn't win the job
โ Lead was outside your preferred price range
โ General dissatisfaction with lead quality
How are refunds issued?
Approved refunds are issued as account credits applied to your next lead charges โ typically within 1 business day of approval. Cash refunds to your original payment method may be issued at our discretion for amounts over $50 or verified platform errors.
How do I request a refund?
You can request a refund two ways:
1. In the app: Go to Settings โ Billing โ tap the charge โ "Request Refund" โ describe the reason and submit
2. By email: Email support@servicescout.app with your account email and the lead details
Requests must be submitted within 7 days of the lead delivery date. We review all requests within 1โ2 business days.
How do account credits work?
Credits are automatically applied before your card is charged on future leads. For example, if you have $15 in credit and receive a $15 lead, your card is not charged at all. Credits never expire as long as your account is active.
